Can I personalize each entree?
Suggestions will be taken into consideration, but
MAJOR changes are sometimes difficult to accommodate.
However, changes have been made in the past.
Are your meals kid friendly?
Surprisingly, even the pickiest eaters "like Shingo's
vegetables." So, generally yes with spices and ethnic
food selections offered with "the family of 4" in
mind.
What is the difference between "Regular Family
Style
meals" and "Low Carb meals?"
Regular Family Style meals include a balance of
starches, veggies, and proteins. Low Carb entrees are
carefully cooked to drastically lower the meal's
overall carb %. Sugars, starchy vegetables, breads,
pastas, and rice are either completely eliminated or
substituted with a whole grain item or additional
veggies.
What types of food do you cook?
Pretty much anything your grandmother would cook with
the professionalism of an experienced Chef. Seasonal
changes are made to constantly update the monthly
menus. view menu
What is "the floater?"
The Floater may be used to substitute for any item you
see on the menu for that week as many times as you
like.
For example, the Floater for Week 1 is Gruyere Mac and
Cheese; French Bread; Mixed Green Salad.
Tuesday's dish is Roasted Whole Chicken; Braised
Mushrooms: Roasted Veggies; Chicken Jus.
You may substitute The Floater for Tuesday's Chicken
dish.
How do I know how to reheat the food properly?
Complete Reheating Instructions will be provided along
with each entree delivery. Instructions will include
various methods to reheat each item for your
convenience and will include plating instructions.

Do we have to cook anything?
Sometimes a little cooking is necessary, but nothing
too difficult or time consuming. The longest cooking
one might have to do is place something into the oven
for 8 minutes. Seriously though, no complicated or
messy cooking will take place at YOUR home.
Where do you get your ingredients from?
Local
Farmers' Markets provide the best produce, friendliest
service, knowledge, and fairest prices. However, the
peninsula features many great supermarkets which are
family owned or have outstanding reputations
(sometimes with a higher price tag, but well worth the
high quality product). Many ethnic markets feature
"
hard to get" items and spices as well.
What's the difference between your service and the
local restaurant who delivers?
This could take
a while, but I will condense it the best I can. The local restaurant
might have up to 5
people handling your food from the person who selects
the produce to the person who packages your meal to
the person who delivers your meal. Two Chefs hand
selects ALL the produce, cooks ALL the meals, packages
ALL the meals, and delivers ALL the meals to you in
person. Which options seems more trustworthy?
